Optical clarity across the full zoom and focus range, absence of internal fungus or coating damage, balance and drift on every axis, brake and clutch function, illumination output against specification, and the condition of the objective and eyepieces. Drift is the one that ruins a long case and the one least likely to show up in a five-minute demonstration. We document all of it before dispatch.

Refurbished through ASQ's documented 8-step programme. Wear items are replaced regardless of measured condition, the unit is calibrated against Zeiss's published specification, and IEC 60601-1 electrical safety testing is documented per unit. You receive the incoming inspection report, parts replacement record, calibration certificate with measured values, and a signed QA sign-off with the equipment.
